Campaign Activities
Activities, when accompanied by education, make the campaign a fun event - something to look forward to. Utilize these activities to raise awareness and morale:
- United Way Day
- Employee social event(s)
- Halloween costume contest
- Car Wash
- Garage sale
- Silent/live auctions
- Raffles
Incentives
Utilize incentives to get pledge cards in early or to encourage participation, increased giving or department competitions. Remember, people give when they are educated about the needs and the impact of their gift, but incentives are a fun addition to the campaign. Suggested incentives include:
- Paid time off
- Reserved parking
- Tickets to sporting events
- Movie/theater passes
- Company promotional items (t-shirts, caps, mugs)
- Gift cards or certificates
- Casual dress days
Thank you Recognition
Gratitude is an important part of the campaign. Be sure to thank volunteers and donors for their conditions to the campaign. Consider:
- Display campaign results and/or awards prominently
- Awards lunch/celebration
- Social event hosted by CEO
- Awards presentations at highly attended meeting
- Employee newsletter announcements with photos
- Thank you letter from the CEO or local manager
